AB-1738 would require local agencies to provide remote building permit inspections for certain work in 1-to 2-family dwellings by July 1, 2027.

AB-1771 would eliminate the requirement for on-site resident managers in apartment buildings, even when larger than 16 units.

SB-967 would define "housing unit" with respect to acutely low-income households to mean "a house, apartment, modular home, mobile home, trailer, group of rooms, single room that is occupied, or single room intended for occupancy as separate living quarters."
