UPDATE: This legislation was amended in Assembly on 3-12-26.

AB-2057 was introduced by Assembly member DeMaio on 2-18-26.

This bill would prohibit cities/counties from implementing legislation that prohibits the use of natural gas in a residential unit. Essentially, legislation cannot be passed that would require residential units to eliminate the use of natural gas unless it's set forth in state building standards.
