SB-996 would authorize mobile homes and manufactured homes to be classified as "real property" for the purposes of titling and taxation.

AB-1957: Mortgages: Foreclosures
UPDATE: This legislation was introduced on 2-13-26. It was approved by the Committee on Judiciary and routed to the Committee on Appropriations on 4-8-26. AB-1957 was introduced by Assembly member Pacheco on 2-13-26. This bill would modify requirements for trustee's sale of property under a power of sale for properties containing 1-4 residential units. Owner-occupants and eligible nonprofit corporations would not be defined as "eligible bidders" under this bill.
