AB-1893: Wildfire Prevention: Grant Program

UPDATE: This ordinance was filed on 2-12-26. It passed the Committees on Emergency Management and Appropriations on 4-22-26.

AB-1893 was introduced on 2-12-26 by Assembly Members Gallagher and Schultz. It is Co-Authored by Assembly Members Gonzalez and Hadwick as well as Senator Seyarto.

This bill would expand the grant program to include projects undertaken by a local government for acquisition or installation of mobile rigid dip tanks capable of providing helicopter-accessible water supplies for firefighting response in very high and high fire hazard severity zones.
