SB-887 would require CEQA reviews for data center projects. These projects would not be allowed to be approved ministerially.

AB-1834 would expand the Subdivision Map Act to include land zoned fully or in part for mixed-use developments. Properties meeting the exemption requirements would need only to file a parcel map instead of a tentative and final map.

AB-1621 would prohibit city agencies from requiring more than 2 plancheck and specification reviews in connection with a housing permit.

AB-2748 would exempt affordable housing developments from installation of 2025-compliant electric vehicle charging.

AB-2477 would authorize unlicensed individuals, employed by a registered structural pest control company, to apply pesticides under the direct supervision of a licensed operator or field representative.

AB-2277 would allow properties that were on the National Register of Historic Places on/after January 20, 2025, to be automatically listed as on the California Register, even if the property was removed from the National Register of Historic Places.

AB-2079 notes the intent to create legislation to advance adaptive reuse policies for downtown areas.

AB-2074 notes the intent to create legislation that would support transit-oriented housing developments and downtown revitalization in major transit cities, including streamlined ministerial approval for developments.

AB-2057 would prohibit cities/counties from implementing legislation that prohibits the use of natural gas in a residential unit.

AB-1695 would prohibit smoking in state-subsidized multiunit housing developments constructed after January 1, 2027.

AB-1869 clarifies that income received from direct or indirect operation or management of a lodging facility is not permissible tenant service income as defined by the IRS Code for REITS.

SB-880 notes the intent to enact legislation relating to a moratorium on housing purchases.

SB-996 would authorize mobile homes and manufactured homes to be classified as "real property" for the purposes of titling and taxation.

AB-2198 would require title insurers, underwriter title companies, and controlled escrow companies to display their rates both in physical form and electronically on their website.

UPDATE: This legislation was introduced on 2-13-26. It was approved by the Committee on Judiciary and routed to the Committee on Appropriations on 4-8-26. AB-1957 was introduced by Assembly member Pacheco on 2-13-26. This bill would modify requirements for trustee's sale of property under a power of sale for properties containing 1-4 residential units. Owner-occupants and eligible nonprofit corporations would not be defined as "eligible bidders" under this bill.

AB-1842 would require mortgage providers to offer forbearance of payments for properties that have become uninhabitable due to an emergency for a period of up to 12 months.

SB-974 would require the county assessor to determine if a person is eligible as a severely and permanently disabled complainant if requested by a certified special needs trust.

SB-911 would expand existing requirements for sellers to provide buyers with information about compliance with fire safety measures and local vegetation management ordinances.

This ordinance would make the graffiti abatement pilot program permanent. Public Works would be able to perform graffiti abatement on private properties at no cost to property owners, upon request.
