APPROVED: Ordinance 240927: Office to Residential Conversions

Updated: Jun 6

UPDATE: This ordinance was substituted and revised by the Mayor's office on 10-15-24. Since then, it was approved by the Board of Supervisors on 3-4-25 and signed by the Mayor on 3-7-25.

Ordinance 240927 was introduced on 9-24-24 by Mayor Breed and Supervisor Dorsey.

This ordinance would exempt certain projects projects from paying impact fees and inclusionary housing fees in the downtown area for converting non-residential to residential use. Allowing for modifications to development agreements, and eliminating deadlines for the Residential Adaptive Reuse Program.

(Previously this was limited to C-2 and C-3 zones and only applied to office-to-residential conversions)
