APPROVED: HOT: Ordinance 240803: Illegal Dwelling Units

UPDATE: This ordinance was approved and signed by the Mayor on 9-5-25.

Ordinance 240803 was introduced on 7-30-24 by Supervisor Melgar.

This ordinance would require the Planning Department to review all permit applications for potential illegal dwelling units. Design professionals failing to disclose the presence of illegal units would be subject to reporting to the state licensure board.
