This ordinance would require conditional use when a legacy business is replaced with another commercial use in most NCD / Commercial Districts and within the Chinatown Mixed Use District.

This ordinance is part of the Mayor's PermitSF initiative, intended to streamline permitting and to help small businesses. The ordinance includes streamlining of reviews for Conditional Use applications and a reduced fee for these filings.

This legislation would require conditional use approval for residential development projects in certain districts that do not construct the maximum density allowed on the lot.
