SB 91 was introduced by Senator Umberg on 2-17-23.
This bill would extend the CEQA exemption for projects converting motels, hotels, residential hotels, or hostels to supportive or transitional housing indefinitely.
If approved, this ordinance would make changes to the thresholds for sale price and qualifying income for some BMR units.
This ordinance would automatically go into effect if Proposition 33 passes requiring rent control on properties built up to 1994.
If approved, this ordinance would allow non-licensed designers to work on some Assembly, Business, and Mercantile projects.
