SB 571: Emergency Preparedness for Development Projects

UPDATE: This legislation is still in the Senate and under review with the Natural Resources and Water Committee as well as the Committee on Rules. A hearing has been scheduled for January 9, 2024.

SB 571 was introduced by Senator Allen on 2-15-23.

This bill would require the State Board to adopt minimum fire safety standards for new developments in high and very-high fire hazard zones by January 1, 2027.
