Inactive: SB 255: Court Notifications via Text

Updated: Jan 5, 2024

UPDATE: This legislation was suspended on May 18, 2023.

SB 255 was introduced by Senator Umberg on 1-30-23.

This bill would require courts to create a notification reminder system that would text defendants of scheduled court appearances.

This may not seem like it's related to the built environment, but for those of us in SF battling the Rent Board on ADU projects, this would be a HUGE help. We advocate for email calendar invites as well!
