SB 1119: Hospital Seismic Compliance

SB-1119 was introduced by Senator Newman on 2-13-2024. It is Co-Authored by Assembly Member Quirk-Silva and Senators Stern and Umberg.

This bill would make changes to the deadlines for seismic compliance for St. Joseph Hospital, Providence Eureka General Hospital, Providence St. Jude Medical Center, and Providence Cedars -Sinai Tarzana Medical Centers required by the Seismic Safety Act of 1983. Compliance plan deadlines have been adjusted for each of these hospitals including specific areas of work.
