This ordinance would provide tenant protections for demolished buildings. Relocation assistance would be required for affected occupants, with increased assistance for lower-income tenants.

Background: This legislation is being proposed to counteract potential impacts of the San Francisco Family Zoning Plan. There are concerns that, as development occurs, and properties are demolished, tenants will be displaced.
