Ordinance 250634: Commercial Use Sizes

UPDATE: This ordinance was filed on 6-3-25. It is being routed to the relevant committees.

Ordinance 250634 was introduced on 6-3-25 by Supervisors Melgar, Sherrill, and Sauter.

This ordinance relaxes limits on commercial use sizes in some NCD zones, eliminating the need for Conditional Use for larger businesses. It would also allow large spaces to be subdivided in all zones without conditional use, even if the reduced spaces exceed sf limits in that zone.

West Portal Avenue, North Beach, Castro Street, Polk Street, Pacific Avenue, and the Regional Commercial District would be exempt from limits on the size of the commercial uses.
