UPDATE: This ordinance was approved by the Board of Supervisors on 10-8-24 and was signed by the Mayor on 10-18-24.

Ordinance 240798 was introduced on7-30-24 by Mayor Breed and Supervisors Peskin, Melgar, and Mandelman.

This ordinance would eliminate the requirement for use of a licensed design professional in preparation of permit plans for Assembly, Business, and Mercantile occupancies in which there are no alterations, occupancy changes, or work on the electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems.
