APPROVED: Ord 231007: Affordable Housing Transfer Tax Exemption

UPDATE: This ordinance was approved by the Board of Supervisors on 12-5-23 and signed by the Mayor on 12-15-23.

Ordinance 231007 was introduced on 9-26-23 by Supervisors Preston, Chan, Mandelman, Safai, and Ronen.

This legislation would extend transfer tax exemptions for rent-controlled affordable housing properties, enacted in 2019 under the COPA legislation. The exemption is scheduled to expire on June 30, 2024. This ordinance would extend the exemption.
