APPROVED: ORD 230216: Tenant Displacement

Ordinance 230216 is sponsored by Supervisors Ronen, Chan, Walton, and Dorsey, on 2-28-23.

This Ordinance expands the definition of "displaced tenant" to include tenants who are displaced because:

• They reside in an unwarranted/illegal unit

• The unlawful unit was allowed to be removed by the Planning Commission

Tenants in this classification are given preference by MOHCD in occupying affordable units or receiving assistance from the City.
