APPROVED: HOT: AB 1332: ADU Permit Ready Plans

AB-1332 was introduced by Assembly Member Carillo on 2-16-23.

This bill would require local agencies to develop and offer at least 6 permit ready ADU floor plans for detached ADU units by April 1, 2025. Plans would need to include studio, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom detached ADU units in both standard and reverse formats.

Plans would be posted online and offered at no cost. Approval of projects utilizing these plans would be required within 30 days for these plans OR for any plan approved by a local agency within the 3 prior years.
