AB-434: Planning Hearing Limitations

UPDATE: This legislation is currently under review with the Committee on Housing and Economic Development and also with the Lieutenant Governor.

AB-434 was introduced by Assembly Member Grayson on 2-5-23.

This Bill would prohibit a city or county from conducting more than 5 hearings for housing developments that comply with the general plan and zoning standards. It also authorizes the Department of Housing and Community Development to issue a notice of violation to a city who exceeds 5 hearings for a project, including a notice to the Attorney General.
