AB 2430: Monitoring Fees for Density Bonus Projects

UPDATE: This legislation was referred to the Committees on Housing and Community Development and Local Government on 2-26-24.

AB-2430 was introduced by Assembly Member Alvarez on 12-13-2024.

This bill would prohibit a local agency from charging a monitoring fee for oversight of continued affordability on development projects. Developments that were placed in service prior to January 1, 2025 will no longer be subject to a monitoring fee even if it was required prior.
