AB 2114: Inspections of Exterior Elevated Elements

UPDATE: This legislation was approved by the Assembly on 4-1-24 and has been routed to the Senate. It is now pending committee assignment.

AB-2114 was introduced by Assembly Member Irwin on 2-5-2024.

This bill would amend the Davis-Stirling Common Interest Development Act. In addition to architects and structural engineers, it would authorize licensed civil engineers to conduct the inspections required for exterior elevated elements. These inspections are required by condominium associated every 9 years.
