UPDATE: This legislation is currently under review with the Committee on Natural Resources but no action has been taken since 3-9-23.

AB-1700 was introduced by Assembly Member Hoover on 2-17-23.

This bill would specify that population growth resulting from a housing project, and noise impacts of a housing project do not have a "significant effect" on the environment as defined by CEQA.
