AB-1700 was introduced by Assembly Member Hoover on 2-17-23.
This bill would specify that population growth resulting from a housing project, and noise impacts of a housing project do not have a "significant effect" on the environment as defined by CEQA.
If approved, this ordinance would allow non-licensed designers to work on some Assembly, Business, and Mercantile projects.
