UPDATE: This legislation was referred to the Committees on Natural Resources and Housing/Community Development but no action has been taken since 3-23-23.

AB-1532 was introduced by Assembly Member Haney on 2-17-23.

This bill would make projects converting office to housing a use by-right regardless of zoning. Conditional use or other discretionary reviews and approvals would not be permitted for these projects.
