DENIED: Unlicensed Contractor Advertising

Updated: Sep 19, 2022

UPDATE: This legislation failed passage on 3-29-22.

AB 1874 was introduced on 2-8-22 by Assembly Member Smith.

This bill would permit unlicensed contractors to advertise for work if the price for labor is less than $500 and they state that they are unlicensed in the ad. (Previously the $500 threshold also had to include materials and other items)
