TL Electric: A Lifelong Electrician (Literally)

It’s hard to find a great electrician in the Bay Area. Finding one who's been around panels and conduit since he could walk, whose dad was also an electrician, whose family runs an electrical supply company, who other electricians call when they're stuck on a problem? That's a different category of find. Meet Tony Loi at TL Electric, the newest addition to the Property Atlas Vendor Program.
Tony started TL Electric about eight years ago, but the trade itself started a lot earlier than that. His dad is an electrical contractor, and Tony's been around the work since he was a toddler - close to 40 years of accumulated exposure. That kind of immersion shows up in the way he talks about the work: comfortable, confident, and deeply versed in the code. So versed, in fact, that other electricians regularly call him for advice when they hit a tricky issue. (When the people who do the work for a living call you for help, you're doing something right.)
The family connection runs deeper too. Tony's parents own E Electrical Supply, a Bay Area electrical distributor - think Home Depot, but specifically for electricians. Tony consults there as well, which gives him a level of insight into parts, equipment, and supply timing that most contractors can only envy.
What he does
TL Electric specializes in commercial work, including tenant improvements, restaurant buildouts, office space, and commercial high-rises across the Bay Area. They also handle the bigger-ticket electrical infrastructure that property managers run into all the time: panel upgrades, meter upgrades, switchgear, and motor control for industrial spaces. During COVID, the team expanded back into residential, so single-family and multi-family work is firmly on the menu too. Tony's favorite part of the job? The challenge - commercial and industrial work in particular means harder problems, more obstacles, and more puzzles to solve.
Geographically, most TL Electric projects are in San Francisco, but the team travels as far north as Santa Rosa, south to San Jose and Santa Cruz, and east to Concord and Fremont.
Why TL is great for property managers
TL Electric is a strong fit for the kind of work our clients deal with. Aside from the bonafides above, Tony always keeps at least one electrician dedicated to service calls, meaning when a panel goes down or a tenant's lighting circuit fails, someone's actually available. For real emergencies (the panel-on-fire variety), he or one of his team will roll out on the spot. Free estimates, no service agreement required.
Every one of his 5-person team has been with him since he started the company. He trained them all, treats them well, and they stick around - no poaching by other players. That means consistently excellent quality and no rotating cast of unfamiliar faces on your jobs.
At Property Atlas, our Vendor Program exists because we know how exhausting it is to find contractors you can actually trust. Every vendor we feature comes recommended, vetted, and proven with the kinds of buildings (and headaches) our clients face. Tony and TL Electric fit that bill perfectly. Have an electrical project coming up? Emergency you just found out about? Reach out to TL Electric and tell them Property Atlas sent you.
