Updated: Sep 16, 2022

UPDATE: This legislation was approved on 2-11-22. This Ordinance was challenged in court and a portion of the Ordinance was overturned. 10-day notices will not be required prior to the issuance of a 3-day notice to pay rent or quit. They are, however, still required for notices related to performance conditions or nuisance conduct unless there is an imminent risk of physical harm to persons or property.

Ordinance 211265 was introduced on 12-7-21 by Supervisor Preston. Supervisors Walton, Chan, Peskin, Ronen, Haney, and Melgar have also sponsored this legislation.
