INACTIVE: Recycled Water for New Construction

UPDATE: This legislation is inactive. The first hearing with the Committee on Environmental Safety and Toxic Materials was cancelled at the request of the author on 4-6-22 and later postponed by the committee on 4-26-22. No action has occurred since 4-26-22.

AB 2811 was introduced on 2-18-22 by Assembly Member Bennett.

This bill would require all newly constructed non-residential buildings be constructed with dual plumbing to allow use of recycled water for all non potable water demands beginning January 1, 2024.
