APPROVED: Public Bathroom Code Requirements

UPDATE: This legislation was approved by both chambers on 8-30-22 and was sent to the Governor for signature on 9-9-22.

SB 1194 was introduced on 2-17-22 by Senator Allen.

This bill would update code requirements for public bathrooms. Sets occupancy load for each sex by dividing the total occupancy by ½, makes all single-user bathrooms as unisex, and removes plumbing code requirements for fixture counts where separate facilities are provided.
