Ordinance 251100: New Historic District

UPDATE: This ordinance was filed on 10-31-25 by Supervisor Mandelman. It is being routed to the Planning Commission for review.

Ordinance 251100 was introduced on 10-31-25 by Supervisor Mandelman.

This ordinance would create a new Article 10 Historic District in the Mission Dolores Neighborhood (Chula-Abbey Early Residential Historic District). The proposed district would be centered on Chula Lane, Abbey Street, and 17th Street, including 52 properties.


The Historic Preservation Commission voted to recommend approval of this district on October 15, 2025. If approved by the Board of Supervisors, exterior changes to properties within this district would be required to go through extensive preservation reviews.
