APPROVED: HOT: Ordinance 241021: Residential Window Replacement

UPDATE: This ordinance was filed on 10-25-24. It was approved by the Board of Supervisors on 3-5-25 and signed by the Mayor on 4-3-25.

Ordinance 2410201 was introduced on 10-25-24 by Supervisor Melgar.

This ordinance would significantly change planning department requirements for window replacements. Under this ordinance, window sizes, materials, design, and operations would no longer be regulated by the Planning Department, except on properties with eligible or listed historic resources. If approved, vinyl windows would be permitted throughout the city.
