UPDATE: This ordinance was signed and approved by the Mayor on 9-5-25.

Ordinance 240796 was introduced on 7-29-24 by Supervisors Peskin, Chan, Preston, and Melgar.

This ordinance would prohibit landlords from using software to set rents or occupancy levels for residential rental units. It calls into question use of software like Zillow to determine what average rents are in a neighborhood, etc.
