Ordinance 220131 was introduced 2-1-22 by Supervisors Preston, Chan, Peskin, Ronen, and Walton. UPDATE: The Board approved on 3-1-22 and the Mayor signed for full approval on 3-11-22.
It would prohibit landlords from evicting or imposing late fees on residential tenants based on unpaid rent that came due between March 2020-September 2021 if the tenant could not pay due to Covid-19.
