INACTIVE: Minimum Parking Prohibition

UPDATE: This legislation passed the Assembly on 6-1-21. The Senate sent the legislation to the Committee on Housing. It was suspended on 8-26-21.

AB 1401 was introduced on 2-19-21 by Assembly Member Friedman.

This bill would prohibit public agencies in counties with a population of 600,000 or more from imposing minimum parking requirements, or enforcing minimum parking requirements on projects within one-half mile of public transit including renovations or additions to single family homes.
