KILLED: Golf Course Rezoning

UPDATE: This legislation was killed on 1-31-22.

AB 672 was introduced on 2-12-21 by Assembly Member Garcia.

This bill would have required cities and counties to rezone certain golf course sites for residential and open space uses. It would exempt the ordinance from CEQA and would require 25% of all units be designated as affordable housing for a period of 45 years (owner occupied) or 55 years (rental units.)
