UPDATE: This legislation is under review. The Planning Commission recommended disapproval on 2-23-22. The Land Use and Transportation Committee placed this ordinance in inactive status on 4-25-22. We anticipate this legislation will not move forward, although it can be reactivated in the future.
Since Supervisor Mandelman's similar legislation was recently vetoed by the Mayor, they may revisit this Ordinance in the future. But for now, another competing ordinance introduced by Supervisor Safai appears to be moving forward instead. (See Ordinance 211234)
Ordinance 211202 was introduced on 11-16-21 by Supervisor Mar.
This legislation proposes increasing density limits in RH zones to 4 units, but requires that rental and sale prices be affordable at middle income levels of 100% of area median income.
See similar Ordinances 210866 and 211234.
