APPROVED: Permit Streamlining Act Expansion

Updated: Sep 19, 2022

UPDATE: This legislation was approved by both chambers on 8-25-22 and was sent to the Governor for signature on 9-6-22.

AB 2234 was introduced on 2-15-22 by Assembly Members Rivas and Grayson.

This bill would expand the Permit Streamlining Act to include post-entitlement permits (building permits). Would require public agencies to create a list of information required to approve/deny the permits, make the list publicly available, would require digital permit submittals, require email notices to applicants, and establish time limits for approval/denial of permits based on the number of units created by the residential development.
