AB 2097 was introduced on 2-14-22 by Assembly Member Friedman.
This bill would prohibit a public agency from imposing or enforcing a minimum automobile parking requirement on residential, commercial, or other developments if the parcel is located within one-half mile of public transit in counties with a population of 600,000 or more.
In counties with a population less than 600,000 and cities with a population of 75,000 or more, parking cannot be required if the project is located within 1/4 mile of public transit.
