AB-1308 was introduced by Assembly Members Quirk-Silva and Friedman on 2-16-23.
This bill would prohibit public agencies from increasing minimum parking requirements for single-family residences as a condition of approval.
If approved, window sizes, materials, design, and operations would no longer be regulated by the Planning Department.
If approved, this ordinance would make changes to the thresholds for sale price and qualifying income for some BMR units.
This ordinance would automatically go into effect if Proposition 33 passes requiring rent control on properties built up to 1994.
