APPROVED: AB-835: Fire Requirements for Single Exit Multi-Unit Residential Buildings

UPDATE: This legislation was approved and signed by the Governor on 10-7-23.

AB-835 was Co-Authored and Introduced by Assembly Members Lee, Ward, and Wiener on 2-14-23.

This Bill would require the State Fire Marshall to propose standards for single-exit multi-unit residential buildings above 3 stories for next code cycle (2024).
