UPDATE: This legislation was referred to the Committees on Housing and Community Development and Local Government on 2-20.24. The hearing was postponed by the Committee on 4-3-24.

AB-2117 was introduced by Assembly Member Joe Patterson on 2-5-2024. It is Co-Authored by Assembly Member Gallagher.

This bill would adjust the expiration date for variances, conditional use permits, or other development permit approvals. The time during which the permit approval is/was pending would be excluded from the approval timeline, thereby extending the expiration date.
