Suspended: AB 1992: Coastal Development Permits: Blue Carbon

UPDATE: This legislation was approved by the Committee on Natural Resources on 3-20-24 and routed to the Committee on Appropriations where it was placed in the suspension file on 4-10-24.

AB-1992 was introduced by Assembly Member Boerner on 1-30-2024.

This bill would authorize the California Coastal Commission to require applications with a project impacting a coastal wetland, subtidal, intertidal, or marine habitats/ecosystems to build or contribute to a blue carbon demonstration project.
