AB 2187: Office of Tenants' Rights and Protections

UPDATE: This legislation was referred to the Committees on Judiciary on 4-1-24. The first hearing was cancelled at the request of the author on 4-3-24.

AB-2187 was introduced by Assembly Members Bryan and Haney on 2-7-2024.

This bill would establish the "Office of Tenants' Rights and Protections in the Business, Consumer Services, and Housing Agency" to create and maintain an up-to-date, digestible, and language-inclusive list of statewide tenants' rights and protections.


Contingent on appropriation approval/allocation by the Legislature.
