ORD 230310: State ADU Controls

UPDATE: This legislation is currently under review. The Land Use and Transportation Committee continued this to the hearing scheduled for January 22, 2024.

Ordinance 230310 was introduced by Mayor Breed on 4-21-23.

This Ordinance brings the local San Francisco ADU Code into compliance with new State regulations including adding the definition of a J-ADU, clarifying the streamlined pathway to permit approval, and modifies tenant notification requirements on single-family lots and permitting construction of rear yard ADU structures.
