UPDATE: This legislation is currently under review with the Committee on Housing and Community Development.

AB-1101 was introduced by Assembly Member Flora on 2-15-23.

This bill would allow licensed structural pest control operators with 5 years of experience to perform inspections of exterior elevated elements in addition to architects and civil/structural engineers. This is for the required inspections of load-bearing components in buildings with 3 or more units for things like decks or exterior stairs. These inspections are required to be completed every six years.
