APPROVED: Ord 230447: Unpermitted Awnings

UPDATE: This ordinance was approved and signed by the Mayor on 7-20-23.

Ordinance 230447 was introduced on 4-18-23 by the Mayor.

This legislation provides amnesty for existing awnings that were installed without a building permit, or for which there is no record of a permit. Enforcement and inspection fees will be waived for applicants applying to legalize their awning. Permitting would be streamlines for these projects. Awnings in Article 11 areas are not eligible for this program.
