APPROVED: AB 1307: Noise Impacts: Residential Projects

UPDATE: This legislation was approved and signed by the Governor on 9-7-23.

AB-1307 was introduced by Assembly Members Wicks and Rivas on 2-16-23.

This bill would modify CEQA requirements for noise studies. Specifically, noise generated by unamplified voices of residents would not be considered as having a "significant effect" on the environment for residential projects. it also exempts higher education from certain requirements.
