Tenderloin Neon Special Sign District

UPDATE: This legislation was introduced on 5-24-22 and is under review. The Land Use and Transportation Committee recommended approval on 9-19-22. It is now with the BOS.

Ordinance 220643 was introduced on 5-24-22 by Supervisor Preston.

This Ordinance would allow Neon business signs within the North of Market Special Use District. Neon signs will not be allowed to exceed 24 square feet, except for residential hotels. Moving parts, and flashing/blinking features are not permitted, but animated features would be allowed.
