SB-937 was introduced by Senator Wiener and co-authored by Assembly Member Grayson on 1-17-2024.

This bill would extend the timeline for entitlement of a priority residential development project by 24 months for all permits that were issued before January 1, 2024 and will expire before December 31, 2025.

Additionally, this bill would allow payment for public improvements/utilities to be deferred until the date of final inspection or the date of CFC issuance. Utility service fees would still be permitted to be collected at the time of application submittal.
